Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on a Milton Hershey School campus. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for approximately 8–13 students; duties include supervising daily routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel services, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent with same student group. Includes relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid training. Requires two spouses to complete individual employment applications and eligibility criteria for a two-person household; benefits include housing, meals on duty, and more.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or GED
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
