Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role pairs married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents living on-campus to supervise and guide groups of 8–13 students. Duties include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Initially, schedules follow nine consecutive days on duty then three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, paid time off, and provided housing and meals on duty. This is a two-person, on-campus live-in position requiring couples legally married for at least two years and both spouses aged 27 or older. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples (both spouses must apply)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
