Job Summary
Fully-funded two-person Flex Houseparent role on Milton Hershey School campus. As a couple, you will reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 813 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring youth, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; includes comprehensive benefits. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse two-year marriage requirement
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
