Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School, a two-person married-couple role located on campus. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a group of approximately 8–13 students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and managing budgeting and household reporting. Work pattern starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a shared student home. Includes relocation to Hershey, PA, with comprehensive benefits and housing; relocation assistance provided. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain certification to drive student vans, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Both spouses must complete individual employment applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
