Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person married-couple role) reside in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and lead developmental/recreational activities, and lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), comprehensive insurance options, relocation assistance, paid time off, and on-campus housing/utilities. Requires high school diploma or GED, both spouses must be legally married for at least two years, both aged 27+, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to drive student vans, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Relocation assistance provided
