Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and household management for 8–13 students in on-campus Flex Houseparent homes. Administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead devotions while planning recreational engagements. Oversee budgeting and reporting, then transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group. Work nine consecutive duty days followed by three days off, with unscheduled weekday time while students attend school. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus. Both spouses must be married for at least two years, age 27 or older, and complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
