Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel visits, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Work schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Requires a two-year-married couple partnership, both spouses 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid drivers license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. drivers license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Chapel services
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
