Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist position for married couple childcare role in on-campus student homes. Full-time Flex Houseparents reside with 8–13 students, provide daily supervision, mentorship, supervise routines, administer medications, transport to activities, plan and engage in developmental/recreational activities, lead devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from nine-days-on/three-days-off to a stable placed-houseparent assignment living with the same group. The position includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits. Applicants must be a legally married two-person team, with both spouses completing individual applications; requires a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to drive student vans, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
