Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes with a group of ~8–13 students, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially, couples work a nine days on / three days off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent role with the same group of students in their own home. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided; salary per person is $46,917 with total compensation around $180,000 per couple. The role requires a two-person, married-couple arrangement, on-campus housing, and adherence to campus rules (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement: both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
