Job Summary
Couples (married at least two years) relocate to on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Partners reside in the home of 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and a structured, family-like environment. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, budgeting, and household reporting. Schedule initially comprises nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid time off, and housing/meals while on duty.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or GED
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
