Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist roles for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, supervision, and guidance to groups of 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Houseparent living with the same group of students. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student vans, 27+ years old for both spouses, and a legally married two-year minimum, with relocation assistance provided. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
