Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent positions at Milton Hershey School involve living in on-campus student homes with a group of 8–13 students and providing daily supervision, mentorship, and structured routines. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on/three-off duty cycle, with potential transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided, and the program requires married couples who meet specific eligibility (two-year marriages, both spouses 27+, and other limitations) to apply separately.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
