Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married-couple team) reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel services, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule and transitions to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required, with relocation assistance and paid training provided. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift to 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; both spouses must apply individually and be aged 27 or older.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
