Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide supervision, mentorship, and guidance to approximately 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and follow a rotating schedule (nine consecutive days on duty then three days off) with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent in a single student home. Benefits include salary per person ($46,917.00) with total compensation for couples around $180,000, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, PTO, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse eligibility for the role (two-person role)
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading devotions and chapel services
- Willingness to live on-campus in student homes
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Ability to relocate to Hershey, PA
