Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent positions at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students, overseeing routines, schedules, medications, and student well-being. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, driving them to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel visits, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a placed Houseparent role after initial placement. The role operates on a nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off, and includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Willingness to lead daily devotions and accompany students to chapel
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
