Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent couples reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to provide supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Location is Hershey, PA with relocation assistance provided, and compensation per person is $44,768 (approx. $168,000 total per couple when housing and benefits are included). Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and completion of separate applications by both spouses.

- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and reside on-campus in student homes
- Ability to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a long-term, full-time position involving supervision and care of youth
- Experience managing household routines, budgeting, and reporting
- Experience planning and engaging students in developmental and recreational activities
- Willingness to follow a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off
- Ability to drive students to activities and coordinate transportation
- Comfort with supervising group living environments and mentoring youth
- Ability to transition to a placed houseparent role after initial period
- Ability to work within a structured, family-like home environment
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Must be legally married and both spouses complete individual applications for consideration
- Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and support student wellness
