Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus to supervise and mentor 8–13 students in a family-like home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications and ensuring student wellness, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning over time to a placed houseparent role with a consistent student-home assignment. The role requires relocation to Hershey, PA, with benefits including salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and on-site housing/utilities, along with strict campus policies and a two-spouse commitment for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
