Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents on a Milton Hershey School campus (initially nine days on, three off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent) providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of approximately 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and maintaining a safe, structured, family-like environment to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development. Requires relocation; benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement savings, life/disability insurance, paid time off, and paid training; commitments include adherence to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, married-couple eligibility: both spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
