Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent roles located on campus for Milton Hershey School students (8–13 per home). Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a legally married couple (both spouses 27+) willing to live and work with a consistent group of students.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
