Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents on Milton Hershey School campus. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students, manage routines and schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from Flex to Placed Houseparent over time. Nine days on duty followed by three days off initially, with eventual placement in a single student home; relocation assistance and paid training provided. Includes comprehensive benefits and housing/meal provisions. Requires two-spouse application process and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
