Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents living on Milton Hershey School’s campus in Hershey, PA, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance to a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, transport students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions, and oversee budgeting and reporting. After initial placement in multiple student homes with a nine-on / three-off schedule, couples transition to a placed houseparent role living with their assigned student home. Requirements include experience with youth, a legally married two-person partnership for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid U.S. driver's license with the ability to become certified to drive student vans, and comfort leading devotions and Judeo-Christian chapel activities. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
