Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. Married couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising 8–13 students and providing care, guidance, supervision, and development in a structured, family-like environment. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and a nine-on/three-off duty schedule with eventual placement as a Placed Houseparent. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to chapel services
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and reside on campus
- Two-person, married couple requirement with at least two years of marriage
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- Ability to supervise and mentor students in a residential setting
- No alcohol permitted on duty; commitment to smoke-free campus; weapon-free campus
- Ability to plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities with students
