Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for two married individuals serving as Flex Houseparents on-campus in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, delivering daily devotions and chapel services, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and maintaining a structured, family-like home environment. The position starts with a nine-on, three-off schedule, with eventual placement as a single houseparent in the same student home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year married couple required for two-person role
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Proselytizing prohibited in devotions and chapel
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Age and family constraints for residents (no more than three dependent children)
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
