Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) live on campus at Milton Hershey School to supervise and guide a group of 8–13 students, providing care, mentorship, and support. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent in the same student home. The role requires a two-spouse, legally married partnership, age 27+, high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and demonstrated integrity and professionalism. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in devotions and chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
