Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist - Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) reside on-campus in student homes to provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and following a nine-on / three-off duty schedule with eventual placement in a fixed student home. Requires a legally married couple (both spouses) with two years of marriage or more, both aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA area with on-campus housing benefits. Relocation assistance and paid training provided. Commensurate salary of $44,768 per person (~$168,000 total per couple) plus comprehensive benefits. Includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability options, retirement savings, PTO, and housing/meal benefits on duty.”,
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
