Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for a married couple serving as Flex Houseparents on-campus. A two-person position where couples reside in student homes to supervise, mentor, and support ~813 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in development and recreational activities, lead daily devotions, accompany students to Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and transition from Flex Houseparents to a placed houseparent in the same student home. Offers full-time schedule (nine consecutive days on duty, then three days off) with relocation to Hershey, PA, on-campus housing, comprehensive benefits, and paid training. Salary: $46,917 per person (approx. $180,000 total for a couple) with relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
- Relocation to Hershey, PA with on-campus housing and benefits
