Job Summary
Two-person married couple Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School to supervise 8–13 students, provide care, mentorship, supervision, and support; duties include administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and paid training provided, along with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Additional Requirements
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
