Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist – a two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role for married couples living in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and development support for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role transitions from nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off to a placed houseparent arrangement with the same group of students. Relocation assistance is provided; benefits include comprehensive healthcare, retirement savings, paid time off, and housing/ meals while on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse, married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to reside in on-campus homes full-time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Ability to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
