Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes in Summertown, TN to provide care, supervision, mentorship, and structured, family-like living for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning/developing developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing household budgeting/reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a placed houseparent living with the same student group. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided; includes medical/dental/vision, retirement options, paid time off, and housing/meal benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples (must be legally married for at least two years)
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to lead and supervise students
