Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School: a married couple will reside in on-campus student homes (8–13 students per home), provide supervision, mentorship, and day-to-day household management, drive students to activities, lead devotions and chapel involvement, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition to a placed houseparent with the same student group. The nine-on/three-off schedule initially applies, with on-campus living and comprehensive benefits plus relocation assistance. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a committed, smoke- and weapon-free campus lifestyle.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, two-person role
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
