Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially the role involves nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed Houseparent living and working with the same student group. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, health/dental/vision insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, and other benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year married couple
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Comfort leading devotions and Chapel services
- Able to drive student vans
- Two-person role for couples
- Completed individual applications by both spouses
