Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent roles at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervise 8–13 students, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support, and participate in activities to foster academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning/developing activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in the same student home. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided; requires a legally married couple with at least two years of marriage, both spouses aged 27+, and a high school diploma or GED.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
