Job Summary
Two-person full-time Flex Houseparents (married couples) reside on Milton Hershey School campus to supervise and guide 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and eventually transition to a placed houseparent role. Work schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; role emphasizes a structured, family-like environment supporting students’ academic, emotional, and social development. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; relocation assistance and paid training provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
