Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on an on-campus student home at Milton Hershey School. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, budgeting and reporting. Schedule initially: nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; later transition to a Placed Houseparent for long-term housing and oversight of a single student home. Includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models for students
