Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and guidance to a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel visits, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with a transition to a placed houseparent position living and working with the same student group in their own home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
