Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents to reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and mentorship for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include salary of $44,768 per person (roughly $168,000 total per couple including housing and meals), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid time off, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse two-year marriage minimum
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
