Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from initial nine-days-on/three-days-off duty to a placed houseparent role living with the same student group. Requires relocation to Hershey/POUGHKEEPSIE area, on-site housing and benefits package including healthcare, retirement, PTO, and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Comfort leading devotions and chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Desire to live and work with students in a home environment
