Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes to supervise and support a group of students, provide mentorship, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in development and recreational activities, and lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The role progresses from initially supporting various student homes on a nine-on / three-off schedule to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same student home. Compensation includes salary per person with comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Applicants must be a legally married two-person team with both spouses able to complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
