Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for two legally married couples living on campus as Flex Houseparents, providing supervision, mentorship, and care to 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision, medication administration, coordinating student routines and transportation to activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from initial houseparent assignments to a steady Placed Houseparent role with the same student group. Requires a high school diploma or GED, two spouses aged 27+ who are married for at least two years, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; relocation to Hershey, PA is referenced for the program, with relocation assistance offered. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role model for students
