Job Summary
Two-spouse, full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus in student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and caregiving for 8–13 students, manage routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan development and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Chapel outings, and oversee budgeting and reporting. After 9 consecutive days on duty, followed by 3 days off, the role may transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation benefits are provided along with comprehensive medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off. Must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, have a U.S. driver’s license with the ability to become certified to drive student vans, and hold a high school diploma or GED; able to lift up to 50 lbs. This position is located on the Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA, with relocation to Hershey required and on-campus housing and meals included.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
