Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School: couples reside in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household duties, safety and wellness (including medication administration), drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living-and-working arrangement with the same group of students. Relocation assistance provided; benefits include comprehensive medical/dental/vision, life insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
