Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents on campus. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support to 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Initially work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; later transition to a Placed Houseparent in a single student home. Includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits; salary per person is listed, with total compensation for a couple. Must have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and prior experience with youth; two-person married couple requirement and age thresholds apply.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lead students in daily devotions and accompany them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
