Job Summary
Two-person Flex Houseparents role on campus for Milton Hershey School families, living in on-campus student homes and providing care, mentorship, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, guiding daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent with a fixed 9-on/3-off duty cycle. Requires a two-person, married couple with at least two years of marriage, both spouses age 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and adherence to campus conduct (smoke- and weapon-free; Judeo-Christian chapel involvement). Relocation to Hershey, PA is expected; on-campus housing and meals provided during duty. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married couple minimum
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
