Job Summary
Two-person, full-time on-campus role at Milton Hershey School: Flex Houseparents live in student homes (8–13 students) and provide care, mentorship, supervision, and support, including daily routines, medication administration, transportation to activities, and engagement in developmental and recreational activities. They lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel, monitor budgets and household reporting, and will follow a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent in the same student home. Requires relocation to Hershey, PA with relocation assistance; involves team-based living and parenting duties with a partner, including driving responsibilities and adherence to campus policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Willingness for two-person role living on-campus with students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Two spouses must complete individual employment applications
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
