Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for a group of 8–13 students, including daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel. They oversee household routines, budgeting, and reporting, with an initial schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, and eventual placement as a permanent houseparent with the same group of students in their own home. The role requires two married spouses to work together, relocation as needed, and provides comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to drive student home vans/certification to drive
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to model appropriate behavior for students
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with youth
- Ability to supervise and mentor students in a residential setting
- Two-person married-couple eligibility and ability to work as a team in a live-in role for student homes
