Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes to provide daily supervision, mentorship, and support for groups of 8–13 students, including managing household routines, supervising schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Initially 9 days on duty followed by 3 days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living and working with the same group of students.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married status for couples
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Prohibition on alcohol on duty
- Pets: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Background check and training provided
