Job Summary
Live-in, two-person Flex Houseparents role at Milton Hershey School. The couple resides in on-campus student homes, supervising 8–13 students and providing care, guidance, supervision, and support. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive health/financial benefits, and paid time off; consideration requires both spouses to complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
