Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and development support for a group of 8–13 students. The role includes daily supervision, mentorship, administering medications, coordinating transportation and activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting for the household, and transitioning from nine days on / three days off to a placed houseparent arrangement living with the same student group. Requires a two-person married couple (both ≥27 years), a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, relocation to Hershey, PA, and willingness to participate in comprehensive benefits, training, and relocation support.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Proven integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models
