Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing care, supervision, and guidance for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($46,917) with total compensation around $180,000 per couple, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, and paid time off. Requires a two-year-married couple, age 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a drug- and alcohol-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth

- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
