Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparents role at Milton Hershey School, living in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and maintaining a structured, family-like home environment. Initially working nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same students in their own home. Requires a legally married couple with both spouses 27+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA; relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Proficiency in leading devotions and coordinating Sunday Chapel
- Capability to administer medications and oversee student wellness
